I received my PhD from Fordham University studying Biological Sciences focusing in Ecology. I performed research in the Munshi-South lab where we study urban ecology and evolution, specifically focusing on how native and non-natives species are affected by urbanization in New York City.
My research is focused on understanding how urbanization affects stream salamanders native to NYC, where I use genetic techniques to understand genetic connectivity between streams, what landscape features cause barriers to gene flow, and how we can use eDNA (environmental DNA) to detect these stream salamanders in NYC waterways.
When I am not in the lab you can find me gardening, cooking and hiking with my family throughout Westchester County, NY.
